PB Trustee Services Bhd holds all the Company’s INCPS on trust for 5 charitable organizations, namely, Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children Association Johor Bahru (PPKKTAJB), Hospis Malaysia, National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM), Rumah Aman and SHELTER - Home for Children. More charitable organizations will be admitted as The Truly Loving Company Sdn Bhd’s Charity Partners as the business grows.
The directors of TLC are Julia Chong, who is also the full time Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and Khaw Chay Tee. They are responsible for the day to day business and operations of the Company. The current members of the Council are Lynda Merican, Julia Chong and Khaw Chay Tee.
The directors of TLC have taken a long term view in building the TLC brand in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry, it is generally accepted that it will take years of investment before a new start up becomes profitable as the TLC brand grows in awareness and generate consumer trials. The directors are committed to provide free of interest whatever funds TLC requires to sustain and to grow its business.
Since we took over our own distribution in April 2009, we have grown progressively. The growth in revenue is attributable to the consistent growth and the launch of the TLC green range in the second half of 2011. TLC will continue to aim for sustainable growth in its revenue. After 12 years in investing in building our brand equity, we are optimistic of a positive turnaround going forward.
From addressing the community pillar of Corporate Social Responsibility, the company has made progress in the environment pillar as well. In July 2011, The Truly Loving Company launched the TLC "Green" range of dishwash liquid, floor cleaner, multi action cleaner, delicate fabric wash, toilet bowl cleaner, and handwash. In 2012, we extended the "Green" range with the launch of dishwash Apple, floor cleaner Apple, laundry liquid detergent, and babes & kiddies laundry wash. Progressively, we have launched the concentrated laundry powder, concentrated fabric conditioner and 1.8L refill packs for the laundry liquid detergent category. The TLC brand will continue in its new product development programme to fulfill the growing needs of our consumers. All these products are made from plant based ingredients, biodegradable and environmental friendly.

Year 2012 – 2013: Green Initiative
Like anyone else, charities have bills to pay; and for some of them, energy bills can account for up to 30% of their monthly expenses. To aid in a more sustainable way that translates into long-term savings, Project WATTS 2012, a Promise Me initiative, provided eco-friendly electrical solutions to help 12 charity organizations reduce their energy bills substantially. Total funds raised amounted to RM 362,181.07. Due to the positive feedback, Project WATTS was repeated in 2013 to benefit another 12 charities.
Project WATTS 2013 was endorsed by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water. The project raised RM371,380.62 and provided 12 charity homes with 111 energy saving air conditioners, 25 eco navi refrigerators, 15 inverter washing machines, and more than 1200 energy saving light bulbs and tubes. Collaborative Partners such as Panasonic supplied the electrical appliances at dealers' prices while Philips helped to refit all 12 homes free-of-charge.
Project WATTS 2013 had an added dimension, in that TLC had chosen to enrol 6 child related charity homes to move towards adopting and implementing a Child Protection Policy (CPP). TLC collaborated with UNICEF and The Association of Registered Child Care Malaysia/ Persatuan Pengasuh Berdaftar Malaysia (PPBM) to provide training and guidance towards the implementation of a CPP in these homes. The training curriculum included a defined Monitoring and Evaluation component over a 6 months period. The goal of having a CPP in place was to ensure that every child is protected against discrimination, violence, exploitation, abuse & neglect and unlawful practices.

Year 2014
TLC Promise Me 2014 went back to basics. In the "My Grocery Basket" campaign we worked with big hearted corporations and institutions to provide 9 charity homes with monthly grocery subsidies. The monthly subsidies provided between 3 to 6 months of groceries for each of the charity homes and came in timely, with the wavering consumers' confidence in view of the weakening of the Ringgit, the fluctuation of petrol prices and the impending implementation of the GST in April 2015. With public donations being less forthcoming, this subsidy was very well received by the charity homes. Total funds raised amounted to RM168,555.95.
