TLC Wins The Prime Minister’s CSR Awards 2009
It was indeed with elation and surprise that Founder
and CEO of The Truly Loving Company, Julia Chong received the award from the
Prime Minister Dato Sri Najib Tun Razak and Dato Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil ,
Minister of Women, Family + Community Development for The Prime Minister’s CSR
Awards 2009 under the Small Company CSR category
The award was in recognition of The Truly Loving
Company’s vision of supporting charitable causes through its unique business
model and its engagement programmes with its Charity Partners.
Najib said that it was important for the corporate
sector to give back to society by participating in deserving projects and
causes that cry out for help.
“We would like to thank our colleagues, business
partners and most importantly, our customers for their support + contributions
in helping us to champion good causes on behalf of our charity partners”, Chong
said.
She added that her biggest wish was to get more caring
households to switch over to using TLC household and personal care products as
it has now become so effortless and convenient to support charitable causes
from one’s home.
In 2006, TLC became the first social enterprise in Malaysia to use a corporate profit model to develop, manufacture and market the TLC brand of high quality household cleaning products to the public.
