Do Good When Shopping A Joint Promo By Ms. Read And TLC For Make-A-Wish Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, 29 January 2013 – Pioneering plus size fashion brand, MS. READ and The Truly Loving Company collaborated to raise funds for Make-a-Wish Malaysia, the organisation with a mission to enrich the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through wish granting.

The campaign kick started with TLC sponsoring their Hand & Body Lotions the “do good while shopping” promotion. MS. READ customers received a free bottle of TLC Hand & Body lotion for every RM200nett they spent in a single receipt. For each bottle of lotion given out, MS. READ donated RM9 towards Make-a Wish Malaysia. The one-month campaign successfully raised RM42,000.00.

“Fulfilling wishes of the less fortunate is something TLC Promise Me campaign is passionate about. In this case, it is even more meaningful given the background of the children that Make A Wish Foundation supports. We are indebted to MS. READ for inviting us to be their collaborative partner.” says Julia Chong.

This simple yet effective idea came about during a chat between the two friends, Helen Read (MD of MS. READ) and Julia Chong, (CEO and Founder of TLC), two women known for their big hearts and compassion in helping to do good towards others.

The Malaysian affiliate was launched in 2010 and an average of two new wishes are granted every month. The organisation relies on their dedicated volunteers to help grant wishes and raise funding for their mission to enrich the lives of many children with life-threatening medical conditions through wish granting.
