The Truly Loving Company made its third donation to
Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children Association, Johor Bahru in its
centre in Saleng. In conjunction with that, TLC together with the students and
their lecturer from Southern College, Johore Bahru, painted a mural for the
home. The students designed a bright and cheerful piece of art that they
painted as a mural on the front wall of the classroom to lighten up the
environment for the residents.
This is part of the “TLC Arty Party series” that TLC will run with all of its 5 charity partners in conjunction with their 3rd cheque donation.
Present at the event was Ms Julia Chong, Founder and CEO of The Truly Loving Company who felt that the partnership with Southern College is meaningful as TLC is highly involved in inspiring youths and students to work with the less fortunate and disadvantaged so that CSR is part of their way of life when they go out to the workforce.
Mr Rajamanikam, Founder and President of Handicapped and
Mentally Disabled Children Association, Johor Bahru commented that he was very
happy about the event as Art can influence and affect our senses and emotions
in our daily lives, and having a “happy” mural for the wards of the home, who
uses the classroom daily will help to generate an uplifting mood. The students
from Southern College were led by Mr. Wong Shaw Chiang (lecturer) and Mdm. Khoo
Bee Lay, Dean of School of Art & Design.
